We will finish the Big Wave in class tomorrow. This is extra credit (and per Jackson's request for a post about this book). Make a prediction about the resolution/ending of the book. Think about all the themes and events that we have recorded on our story map to help you.

Old Gentleman: I predict that Old Gentleman will come back ad ask Jiya if he will stay at his house.
Jiya: I think Jiya will refuse to come with old Gentleman.
Kino: I don't think Kino will be as emotional this time. I think he would have been filling a little better this time.
Kiya and Jiya: I think both Kiya and Jiya will both go expirement the house just away from the beach. Jiya probably won't stay there.
Theme: I think even if the people ask Jiya to stay with them he still will stay with Kiya. My thought on the theme was friends over other and I think that ties in good.

Kino:happy with Jiya's disision to stay with his family

Old Gentleman: He will be mad that the houses are being built but he will not try to stop it.
Kino: will still be a farmer from that day foward.
Jiya:Will marry Setsu.
Theme: Friends stick together even in the hardest of times

I think that Jiya will marie Setsu and he will build a house that is near the ocean. I also think that Kino will always visit Jiya and will always be Jiyas best friend. Another thing that I predict will happen is that old gentlemen will come back and will Jiya he made a foolish decision by not being his so thats what i think will happen.
Hillary
I think that old gentleman will go to he beach one day, and see that the people are building houses, and come out and say that Jiya and the other peopole are foolish for not staying with him. I think that kino will be a farmer for the rest of his life.i think that Jiya will marry setsu. the possible themes are life is stronger than death and shown in the ending by kino's dad said "life is stronger than death"
